The Cistercian Fair is an annual historical and cultural outdoor event held on the third weekend of September at the site of the former Cistercian Abbey in Pelplin. The event recreates the atmosphere of medieval markets and merchant fairs.
History comes alive where, centuries ago, the roar of cannons and the clash of weapons could be heard. From 9 August 2026, we invite you to the Gatehouse in Gniew to a special exhibition dedicated to the Battle of Gniew in 1626—one of the most important battles of the Polish-Swedish War.

On 15 August, during the reenactment of the Battle of Gniew, we also invite you to visit our Museum. On that day, it will exceptionally remain open until 18:00, so that everyone has the opportunity to combine the historical spectacle with a visit to the exhibition.
